Art of Ian Jones
Ian has over 15 Years experience as a professional Artist and Illustrator. He works from a small studio in Nottingham, England. His work is a frenzied mixture of painting, drawing, mark making and collage. He draws inspiration from many sources, but his Graffiti and Street Art background is perhaps the most prevalent influence apparent in his work. Bright colours, texture, spontaneity and intuitive mark making are important parts of his creative process. He strives to achieve a balance between the abstract and the figurative, working loosely and energetically before refining and working up the image, continuously building layers of colour and texture.
